Double Springs
offers a temperate climate year round. It lies within the state's Upper Plains climatological region, which has a moist, subtropical climate. Double Springs has mild winters and warm, humid summers. This area also sees a fairly high level of rainfall, with March generally being the wettest month. Fall is usually the driest time of the year, and also has the lowest overall humidity. Snowfall is infrequent in the area, although not impossible. Located near the Central Gulf Coast, Double Springs also experiences isolated tropical storms, although these storms usually pass quickly. Prevailing winds are from the south during the winter and from the southeast during the summer.
